IFMIF-DONES España: science at the frontier of fusion energy

The IFMIF-DONES España Consortium is the entity responsible for developing one of the most advanced scientific infrastructures in Europe in the field of fusion energy. The facility — the largest international R&D investment in Spain’s history — will be used to test the materials that will be used in future nuclear fusion reactors, a source of clean and virtually unlimited energy. This project places Granada on the international map of big science and represents a key driver of technological innovation, materials research, and industrial development linked to nuclear fusion.

The Alhambra: communicating World Heritage

Acento Comunicación also works with the Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife, the body responsible for managing, conserving, and promoting one of the most visited and iconic monumental complexes in the world. The Alhambra is not only a heritage and culture landmark but also a space for research, sustainability, and the international projection of European history and identity.

Horizon Europe: disseminating EU Research and Innovation Since 2017

At the European level, Acento has participated since 2017 in consortia funded by the Horizon Europe programme — the European Union’s largest research and innovation programme. Horizon Europe drives strategic projects in key areas including energy transition, digital transformation, and sustainable development, connecting talent, knowledge, and industry at global scale. Acento leads communication and dissemination work packages across multiple funded projects, ensuring scientific results reach citizens, policymakers, and the media.
