What We Offer in a Communication Work Package

About our role in EU project consortia

What does a communication agency do in a European project consortium?

As consortium partners, we lead or contribute to the communication work package (WP), covering branding, website development, social media strategy, press and media relations, scientific publication design, video production, and event coordination. We translate complex research into accessible messages for policymakers, the media, and the wider public, ensuring that projects meet their dissemination and communication obligations towards the European Commission.

We have extensive experience working with Horizon Europe (including Horizon 2020), Creative Europe, Europe for Citizens, and Interreg programmes (POCTEP, MED, and Sudoe). We tailor our communication strategies to the specific dissemination requirements and reporting obligations of each funding programme.

Yes. Since 2017, Acento has participated as a fully-fledged consortium partner—not merely as a subcontractor—in multiple Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe projects. We have led dedicated communication work packages while fulfilling all reporting, management, and financial obligations required by the European Commission.

The best time to involve us is during the proposal preparation stage. We help define the communication, dissemination, and exploitation strategy, estimate the budget for the relevant work packages, and draft the corresponding sections of the proposal. Simply get in touch with us with the call reference and timeline, and we will quickly assess whether we are a good fit for your project.

Our portfolio covers energy transition, climate change, Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH), multilingualism and publishing, smart cities, green hydrogen, migration and integration, and building renovation. We are particularly experienced in projects that combine research with policy impact and citizen engagement.
